How to Get Started with Lunarcloud Hosting

By the end of this guide, you'll have a fully functional website hosted on Lunarcloud's reliable infrastructure.
Step 1: Choose Your Hosting Plan
The first step is selecting the right hosting plan for your needs. Lunarcloud offers several options:
- Shared Hosting - Perfect for small businesses, personal websites, and blogs. Starting at $2.99/month.
- WordPress Hosting - Optimized for WordPress with automatic updates and enhanced security. Starting at $4.99/month.
- VPS Hosting - For growing businesses that need more power and control. Starting at $9.99/month.
- Reseller Hosting - White-label hosting for agencies and entrepreneurs. Starting at $19.99/month.
Step 2: Register Your Domain
If you don't already have a domain name, you can search and register one directly through Lunarcloud.
- Visit our Domain Search page
- Enter your desired domain name (e.g., "mybusiness")
- Browse available TLDs (.com, .ng, .org, .io, .xyz, etc.)
- Select your domain and proceed to checkout
- Complete your purchase

Step 3: Set Up Your Hosting Account
After purchasing your hosting plan, you'll need to set up your account:
- Log in to your Lunarcloud Dashboard
- Navigate to "Your Hosting" section
- Find your hosting instance and click "Manage"
- Follow the setup wizard to configure your account
Your hosting account will be provisioned within minutes. You'll receive an email confirmation when it's ready.
Step 4: Connect Your Domain
If you registered your domain with Lunarcloud, it's already connected to your hosting. If you purchased your domain elsewhere, you'll need to update your DNS settings:
- In your Lunarcloud Dashboard, go to "DNS Management"
- You'll see your nameservers (e.g., dns1.namecheaphosting.com , dns2.namecheaphosting.com )
- Log in to your domain registrar
- Update your nameservers to Lunarcloud's nameservers
- Wait 24-48 hours for DNS propagation
🔄 Note: DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, but usually completes within a few hours.
Step 5: Build Your Website
Now it's time to build your website! You have several options:
Option A: WordPress (Recommended)
If you have a WordPress hosting plan, you can install WordPress with one click:
- Go to your hosting instance in the dashboard
- Click "Install WordPress"
- Wait for the installation to complete
- You'll receive your WordPress admin URL, username, and password
- Log in and start customizing!
Option B: Use the Website Builder
If you prefer a drag-and-drop builder:
- Log in to your cPanel
- Look for "Website Builder" or "Site Builder"
- Choose a template and customize
- Publish your site
Option C: Upload Your Own Files
If you're a developer, you can upload your own website files via FTP:
- Get your FTP credentials from cPanel
- Connect using an FTP client (FileZilla, Cyberduck, etc.)
- Upload your files to the public_html directory

Step 7: Enable Uptime Monitoring (Optional)

- In your dashboard, go to "Add-ons"
- Select "Lunar Uptime Monitoring"
- Complete your purchase
- Receive real-time alerts via email and Telegram when your site goes down
